Ion Dissonance Losses Singer

Well, I've just been reading at a few sites that the singer for Ion Dissonance will be leaving. It's certainly sad news to hear, as I like Ion Dissonance quite a bit. Gabriel McCaughry has a very powerful voice, has wrote some great lyrics, and he has a very wide range.

Could this lead to a Lord Worm style controversy similar to what happened with Cryptopsy?
